Millie Kingsnorth

Founder and Artistic Director

Millie founded Tessellation Dance after realising there was a lack of dance opportunities for those with disabilities and additional needs in her local area. She has been passionate about inclusive practice since she began her dance training. Dealing with chronic illnesses herself has given her first-hand experience in adapting her practice to suit a range of needs. She received a first-class Dance Education degree from Canterbury Christ Church University. Since graduating, she has worked as a freelance dance artist with various local and national dance organisations alongside her work with Tessellation Dance, including Parable Dance and Dance Syndrome.

Sarah Kingsnorth

Dance Artist

Sarah started volunteering for Tessellation Dance in April before becoming a Dance Artist in September 2022. She worked as a midwife after graduating university before working in early years settings for over 10 years whilst raising her four children. Having personal experience in this area, she has always had a passion for making her work accessible for those with disabilities and additional needs and strives to reflect this ethos in her Tessellation Dance sessions.

Georgia Poole

Dance Artist

Georgia is a community dance practitioner and choreographer. Georgia graduated from the Royal Academy of Dance in 2018 and has since then been working in the community sector teaching students with learning disabilities and teaching outreach projects for organisations such as Great Ormond Street. Georgia also enjoys working with young choreographers, inspiring their creative decisions and facilitating their explorations in an open and welcoming space. Georgia is keen to develop new relationships with others amongst her local community and looks forward to creating a welcoming and collaborative creative space.
